What's up with this new weather gal at KGW?

Well, there hasn't been an open thread made for this weekend yet so I'll make one.

I just noticed that New Vision is hiring a Webmaster. I don't know if it would be for KOIN or all their stations in general. So, maybe a new/updated site for KOIN coming soon.

KPTV/Internet Broadcasting is also hiring a web news editor.

I saw a promo on KOIN saying something was coming in February but it wasn't specific on what.

The promo was something like this:

"On KOIN news 6, you get the stories eveyone is talking about. You get investigative journalism on KOIN News 6. Koin news 6 is bringing news home. This February."

Anyone know what's coming? New talent, music, HD, more newscasts?

Also, does KGW have a new logo?

A new promo boasting it is the only source for local news at 5:30 is being broadcast as a result of KATU moving World News to 5:30. I'll be interested to see the ratings in a month or so to see the effect.

AM Northwest has a new logo and website which looks very nice.

The rest of KATU's look is very nice.

And, apparently questionable ads have appeared on KATU.com

KUNP run out of KATU will be starting its spanish newscast tonight at 6. It will be daily at 6 and 11. It's anchored by someone in Seattle and someone in Portland.

(btw Lynn, KUNP isn't available in the "Outlets" options.)

Tonight was Hilary's last night at KPTV as announced at the end of the 10 O'Clock news. It's sad to see her go. I didn't catch all of it but i think they said she will still be in the Portland area doing something, but I'm not sure.

It looks like KATU has a new morning reporter, Melanie Wingo. (Click on Video) Looks like she was previously an anchor at KDRV. I don't know when she started. She isn't on KATU.com yet.

Looks like KGW has a new weekend evening weather guy. His name is Joe. That's all I know. You could probably find video of him on KGW.com or I might upload some later.....

The first thing I noticed about him was he was young. And there arn't too many young (relativly) people at KGW. He reminds me of Chad Carter.
