The Spanish speaking population in our state is growing, wouldn't we like them to actually understand what's going on around them? I am an average, run-of-the-mill white, native Oregonian who also doesn't like illegal immigrants any more than the next person, but I've been on the flip side - in a foreign country desperate to just understand what was happening outside.
