I always watch the top 10 seconds of both 12 and 8-on-3 to see what the leads are and decide who I'm going to watch (I'm an inveterate 10 pm news watcher--the Daily's on at 11!). As soon as I saw that 12 was leading with some silly police blotter story I switched to 3 and kept it there for the A block. Tuned in to 12 in time to see their coverage of the bridge collapse. I understand the whole local thing but geez.
