"As it was, last night's 10pm hour long newscast was THE highest rated program on any station (local, network, or cable) all day and all night long."

What does that have to do with smart insightful journalism? Exactly. Cutting in to breaking news in the afternoon: So what? What I find deficient in your thinking is ratings trump content. You think because you had higher numbers you did a better job covering the story? Stop kidding yourselves. When push came to shove, Koin kicked your butt in the late evening with better LOCAL coverage of the bridge story. You were out-thought and out-covered. Your 'investigative' pkg was 70% mos and an official soundbite ODOT. It was laughable.
