New Visions isn't about to sit idle until Nov. when they take over, pending FCC approval. First thing they're looking at is on air talent contracts and when the contracts are up for renewal. Montecito doesn't want anything to get in the way of the transition to NV so Marty's probably taking it in both ends. He's got to do it. The bigger question this triggers is, when are Jeff and Kelly's contracts up and how low can they go? the ratings suck and they'll only get worse so it's hard to justify paying for pricey talent. Make no mistake, NV has already tipped their hat to current KOIN wonder twins Steady and Brownie that things are going to be bare bones and new creative ways to save, save, save will be coming. The big Daddy getting whacked is just a start....Oh, didn't the NV honcho say something about adding staff? What a sad scene that basement must be.
