Sonny had some issues, but he was a genuine friend to many in that building. The first day I worked at KOIN Ed was one of the few who actually took an interest in me and made me feel welcome. On my last day 20 years later Ed also went out of his way to share some laughs about all the things we had gone through.

Whalen Boot of Spokane had a continuing interest in his profession and was pretty dedicated. I'm sorry to see him put out like an old milk bottle, but it seems typical of the way KOIN does things now.
