In the meantime, KPTV has hired a new sports anchor. Name is Mark Ross. Don't know where he's from, but he starts in September. It sounds like he'll be anchoring sports, and reporting news a couple days a week too.

KPTV is also bringing back its 15-minute Friday Night Lights football program. So, presumably he'll be working on that, too.
