I want to know why KEX bastardized their product... The "Tonkin" weather center? What happens if "Tonkin" weather center gets it wrong? Or better yet, what happens when "Tonkin Weather Center" becomes the "Premier Ford Weather Center". I can't believe someone sold out their product like that. News is what they do - it's their brand - their bread and butter.

It would be OK to say "KEX Weather Center brought to you by Tonkin..." but to actually brand it with a client's indicates someone clearly doesn't get it and has no regard for the long-term viability of the product.

I don't work for KEX but if they hadn't done this would they still have a newsroom. What would you have said if they didn't have a newsroom or local coverage?

Somehow, even though I'm a mere listener I know that the "tonkin" weather center won't get the forecast wrong the person from the national weather service will. And I promise that if the forecast is wrong I won't take it out on tonkin.
