I don't really feel like I've been inside a station unless I've seen at least the newsroom. I got the full dollar tour at 12; I just got the nickel tour at 2, which is fine. They couldn't have 100 people tromping through the newsroom at 7 o'clock at night, not without serious and unnecessary staff exasperation. Bad enough they had to wait for the blogger leftovers. (But they was goooood leftovers.)
12 has its desk out in the open--no soundproofing--which surprised me. It gets very, very noisy in the 12 newsroom. 8's was glassed-in when I was there, and all the noise was thus contained. Mostly.
