But I'm sorry to say, for your comfort at least, that I have more than two people at KOIN-- more than two people at every station in town, way more if you count former employees who remain in touch with colleagues. If this blog has no credibility, just stop reading it. Simple.

I'm not fooled as to why KPTV invited me, any more than I was when the Merc took me out for coffee or KATU invited a bunch of us bloggers for beer and shrimp. And it really doesn't matter to me. I've always said I'd meet with anyone who wants to talk with me, and 12 took me up on it. (The GM had nothing to do with it, by the way; it was Mark Nelsen, and the ND agreed to allow it.)

Anyone else who wants to take me up on it is welcome to, whether outlet or individual or just plain reader. Just ask. I'll even buy, within reason. OMI doesn't have an entertainment budget over $10 or so. ;)

In fact, the 21st is OMI's second birthday and I'm thinking of holding a meet-up of some kind. I'll start a meta thread where we can talk about that if people are interested.
