what annoys me about these comments...

...is they imply that somehow I enjoy dissing people or bringing them down (and that's the only reason I respond to them). I really, really try not to hurt people. That's not why I do this, and if you look at what I write, you'll see it's not *what* I do, either. I'm trying to give the business some badly needed transparency, and I'm doing it with the help of people on the insides of these media outlets. It wouldn't exist if a wide variety of insiders didn't support it with information. And if my email, phone calls and in-person conversations are any indication, OMI is needed and wanted--maybe not by managements, but definitely by the rank and file.
