I miss the Crescent, also

I miss the Crescent, also Lipman Wolfe. Also Meier & Frank. I still have my credit card from The Crescent. I run across it occasionally and feel sad--that was a great, great store. Meier & Frank used to be a great store too--before it was sold to (and neglected by) May Company. Lipman Wolfe was an even greater store. Now we have Macy's Uber Alles. I also think I'm sounding like a geezer here, but it sure was more fun to shop 20 years ago than it is now. Sigh.
