Remember, OLive is separate from the O itself. It appears KGW's agreement is only with the paper. Smart move on Sweeney's part to ink a separate deal with the most read website in Portland. Nice!!!!!!!!! Where's the radar? The technology? WTF. Nice PowerPoint presentation. Actually they should upgrade their PowerPoint if their going to use it because it looks absolutely horrible. Ugghhhh! Poor Dave Sweeney. Why would you need a radar when it's obviously a completely forecast based weathercast. If you had a radar or even satellite, it would be an old picture every time you viewed the video unless he updated every hour. I love what he's doing. Great job Dave! KGW and The O's content-sharing arrangement is a broadcast/print deal only. Zaffino gives the O a forecast, the O gives KGW a story for their late shows. They're competitors online, so the lovey dovey ends where cyberspace begins. That was one of the funniest things I've ever seen on this board. Post new comment |

In today's morning paper, there's a forecast written by Matt at the top of the weather page, accompanied by a group photo of KGW's weather team, with Matt most prominent. I remember when Matt used to be the only one pictured, because the ink from his face would transfer from the weather page to the front page of the next section in an odd Shroud of Turin sort of way.
