Is it just me or is there a paucity of African Americans on local TV news broadcasts? Ken Bode and Rhonda Shelby have been around for a while, and there are maybe four other black reporters including Ed Whelan I can think of in the last 15 years. Is this normal? Does it reflect the market? Has there ever been a black anchor on a weekday newscast? What's the deal?
