Seems To Be Pretty Common, Actually

This actually seems to happen to the big guys too ... the national hosts I like to listen to are always flogging that "buying gold" outfit, for example, all using the same script. I've learned to tune it out, but for a lot of people, having the star personally hawk your wares is still, apparently, of incomparable worth, even if you can tell it's a script.

I see it as a necessary evil myself.

It's going to take a lot more than Botox to make Lars look pretty, but that's just my opinion.
