It was never true. She was never even close to her claim... One FANBOY blogspot site gave her that title and she uses it in drops like there is something behind it. Rhodes fans should be thoroughly embarrassed by this!

I'm not an Ed Schultz fan, but it is a fact that he is number one by audience size among progressive/liberal talkers. The reasons are simple: He gets real numbers and is on far more stations than Rhodes - even BEFORE Randi had her snit fit and ran crying to Nova M. And now that she is down to a handful of stations, her ridiculous claim has slipped from just plain false to laughable.

Unlike the fanboy on blogspot, Talkers Magazine uses actual ratings numbers to determine who is doing well in the format. Here, Schultz gets enough listeners to make #8 on the list of the top 100 talkers in all genre. The next liberal down is Allan Colmes at 16. Syndicated by Fox, Colmes is on more stations than all the other liberal nets combined, but he's on late night which makes it tough for numbers. Then we have Thom Hartmann (AAR) at 23. Jones' Stehpanie Miller is at 28 on the list. AAR's Lionel is at 31 - all by the numbers.

Oh, and Randi Rhodes your hero, the "number one progressive talk show host in the nation"? Well Rhodes came in at # 40 ...BEFORE she lost all those stations by moving to Nova M. So that was the peak of her career.

If she wants to have credibility with any NON-sycophant types, she could start by canning the "number one" BS.

And once again I urge all Rhodes sycophants to take her advice and start fact-checking the things she says. Not by going to her favorite links but by doing your own information search. As I said before, you will be very disappointed but you will also be enlightened.
