My memories of Jim Bosley go back some years to when he was working part time at KATU and part time for an advertising agency. He and I spent many a day in the field. I remember shooting the spots for "The Oregon Bank" in Kahneeta. In the hills above the river during the heat of summer. Jim was always there to help carry anything that I couldn't manage. He was a total pleasure to work with.
I remember going into shopping areas in Cental and Eastern Oregon. People would recognize him from TV and come over to talk. Everyone felt totally comfortable with him.
The last time I saw him was at an art gallery in Portland where he was working on pottery mosaics. We talked for awile and he gave me an autographed "Portland Magazine" with his pic on the cover.
Jim was one of a kind, I'll miss him. To me he was a good man.
