I don't know how else to say this but you're an idiot. Why would you write bad things about your boss on a newsroom computer? Didn't you ever consider he might have access to the information? Is your disdain for the boss so overwhelming that you must gossip with your co-workers about it? Time to get a new job (and grow-up) BTW, you might need a new job. Top lines are retrievable - just like an email and since news managers read this site, I assume the ND with "inews" in his shop will be retrieving those top lines real soon. Good luck explaining those rants face to face with the person who probably hired you and can certainly fire you.
