Fact is, the Oregonian (and Oregon Live) are not doing well. Revenue is down, readership is down, and if an advertiser wanted any kind of impact on the web, they wouldn't be spending money on that crappy Oregon Live website.
Sorry...rhe Newhouse operation is "circling the drain" in Oregon.
