KOIN used to be owned by Emmis, I was a Chief Engineer at another Emmis station and knew Lee, though not all that well. I do know that Emmis fired more chief engineers than any other company that I know of (I'm was one of the replacements brought in). If Lee didn't have his act together (and I always thought he did) he wouldn't have lasted under Emmis, they were a good ownership group, invested in stations that preformed, but they were very picky about how things were done from an engineering perspective, far more so than any other ownership group I have worked for. And if anyone is counting I have worked for 9 different companies over the years, and have gone through far too ownership changes.
