Whither Heidi goeth

I loved the banter between Heidi and Carl. It's a crying shame to dump Heidi, and the crime is in the cover up. Doesn't KPOJ have any respect for its listeners? I go (went) to their web site every day. Did they think we simply wouldn't notice?

Sweet Jeebus, this was like a bad Cecil B. DeMille film. You know, like in the "Ten Commandments" when Moses' name got scrubbed. Well, I say a plague upon the house of ClearChannel (Oh, yes... our local Air America affiliate is owned by the beast.)

I'm glad that some sponsors will show their support for Heidi (and progressives in general) with their feet and go elsewhere. Please let us know who, so we can follow with our support. I've got a pickup that needs servicing, a back yard in need of just about everything and in '09, we're looking to support the Obama economy with a garage addition.

I was at a weekly Impeachment protest yesterday. It's not an even split, but we all start our day with either KPOJ, KBOO or OPB. For the fans of the KPOJ morning show, we could only ask WTF? Thanks to Heidi, we felt we had a community radio program. Often, our actions were announced on air and friends of the peace and justice community have been guests on the show. This isn't a change for the better.
