KGW's lead story is the weather... complete with team coverage... and all 4 of KGW's "meteorologists" are off. And their 5th guy, the freelancing Pedersen, isn't there either.
NEVER would this happen at my station. Whenever weather is a big story, SOMEONE on my weather team will be working. Period. Even if it means someone has to cancel their New Year's Eve plans.
Combine this scheduling decision by KGW managers with the abysmal performances of the regular KGW "meteorologists" during the big 6" snowstorm that didn't happen... and the competition stays happy.
It's a good thing that KGW is currently #1... because these recent weather blunders sure wouldn't help them get to #1 if they weren't already there.
