I thought long and hard about responding to this post on OMI, This goes against my better judgement. First of All Bruce Sussman,I worked with him for almost 10 years. He is anything but dumb. Bruce,is a very smart guy and one of the nicest people I know. Can Bruce tell you how tornados and rain drops forms? You bet he can!

In case you're interested Joe Michaels he is a graduate of one of the best schools of meteorology in the country,Florida State. Both of these gentlemen know that television weather forecasting is about explaining meteorology so viewers understand it. In a manner in which they are not talked down too or belittled. To put a little more succinctly it's all about EXPLAINING WEATHER FOR TELEVISION VIEWERS NOT FOR A DISGRUNTLED UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON METEOROLOGY GRADUATE.

As for me I've never claimed to be God's gift to meteorology. I know that just dumb luck and hard work got me this job. Do I blow forecasts? You bet. Do I learn from my mistakes? Yes. That's what makes weather so challenging, Looking at data putting a forecast together and seeing if it holds up.

I don't have a degree from University of Washington-wish I did. I'm just a lowly MSU broadcast meteorology program graduate. However I'm always willing to learn and expand my knowledge of weather. If you have some suggestions on how or where I could improve please feel free to pick up the telephone and call. No really...If you have some constructive comments call.
