I think it's unfair to claim that Obama hasn't received ample coverage from the local media. The media have been very kind to Senator Obama, Senator Clinton, former President Clinton and Chelsea Clinton.

Had Senator Obama felt the race in Oregon was going to be competitive, maybe he would have taken KGW up on its offer of free air time for an audience give and take. Plus of course Senator Clinton wanted to debate Senator Obama in Oregon, but he declined.

Too, I think KGW did a really good job of digging out old archive footage of the late Senator Robert Kennedy campaigning in Oregon. The last time the Oregon primary had any real relevance in the presidential nominating race was 1968, the year of my birth. Just for the record, Robert Kennedy lost the Oregon Democratic Primary to another anti-Vietnam war Democrat, Senator Eugene McCarthy.
