It isn't KGW but the company that owns them and several other stations including King 5 in Seattle and they have both won awards for best tv news websites. There are several others that you also have to sign up for all over the country. They want to know who is reading their site and where they live and what interests people. They do that so that they can gear their website to please their readers. Even the Tri-City Hearld in Pasco, Kennewick and Richland Washington where I was raised and lived until 12 years ago, makes you sign up to read anything that is more that 14 days old. If they aren't charging me then I can live with the inconvience.
