I am SO guilty of that

Never did it on the air, but I do have a habit of calling people "shug" or "sweetie" or something like. It means nothing--I'm certainly not condescending, it's just me being friendly. Used to drive an ex-boss crazy, and another one would always say, "What are you, a diner waitress?"
