I'm with you on that one. It seems as though spelling has gotten absolutely horrendous over the past couple of years and not just with the Oregonian. I read a CNN article not too long ago that had no less than 20 spelling and grammar mistakes. It was so bad, I corrected all the mistakes and sent a copy to the editor. Not that I expected them to do anything about it, but just for the hope that it might open their eyes to the cruddy writing (or editing, depending on who you want to blame).
