Who, exactly, are "they"? If you're referring to Nielsen, then you're quite misinformed. Nielsen doesn't provide stations rolling averages during the sweep. Clients must calculate the rolling average themselves based on the overnights. Only when Nielsen releases the "book" a couple weeks after the sweep ends will all clients get official averages for the period. And, yes, there will be seven-day averages contained in this July book, just as there are in every book. So I have no idea what you're talking about when you say, "Everyone knows they don't do seven day numbers during the July book." That statement is not only vague and unclear, it's also not true.
I have the Nielsen daily overnights for each day of the book so far. I can dump them into Excel and calculate any kind of average I want. One-day, five-day, seven-day, anything. I didn't post the numbers in this thread, but I can confirm that they are the same numbers I get when I put them into my spreadsheet and do the math. So, again, the numbers posted are correct (through Wednesday 7/16).
