It seems you can't over-simply this stuff enough for the TV audiences.

You would think that, ordinarily, people would know how they get their TV signals. Does it come from an antenna or are they paying a bill for cable or satellite?

I can see that if you are non-technical person and living in an apartment or condo where there might be some legitimate doubt...

"I don't know where the TV signal comes from... it comes out of that jack in the wall"
