It's obvious the IGNITE is not working. They've gone to
it too fast, and without enough resources (people)
to operate it and fix the bugs in a new system.
The industry is going to this, and the KOIN experience
could have been a benchmark. Instead, it's a disaster,
coupled with all the layoffs and turmoil.
The technology will be commonplace one day.
However, in my opinion, KOIN has managed its
implementation abysmally.
No one else is using IGNITE full time. The smart
stations are phasing it in.
Only the SJL stations are pushing this envelope.
Their impatience reflects their size, and
their hurry to get the changes onto the bottom
line.
