The original poster does not enjoy 'knocking KOIN.' The original poster is trying to relate cause and effect to show failure to properly staff a newsroom in a competitive situation will lead to nonsensical and irrelevant news stories from not just getting on the air; but being played up as a lead.
Viewers recognize news when they see it. Bank robberies in the Portland area are a dime a dozen - and anyone who works in the news business knows it. To breathlessly pursue such a non-story shows a lack of depth from the ranks of a struggling news department. As for taking a dump on KOIN - it's been about a year since the ownership change and anyone who is still working there is around by choice.
