From OregonLive:
Azteca America, the No. 3 Spanish-language television network in the United States, is launching an affiliate in Portland.
As of July 30, Azteca America will be transmitted on KWVT (52), according to a news release.
I don't know how much damage KWVT can do here in Portland, but they could get a huge following in Salem and Woodburn, which recently had operations begin at community oriented 96.3.
Also, no notes in this breaking news about if Ken Lewetag and Northwest Television are still the principle owners and whether this includes the other LP signals he is vying for. I'm sure this will come as more info develops.

Update: Looks like Churchill Media LLC is the new owner of KWVT. Check it out at Portland Bizjournals.
I still don't get how they will reach Portland based on their footprint however. Looks more like Salem's first hispanic tv station to me.

Hey Lynn,
How do you shorten the quotation? I'm used to BB code and we always use [url=address]text[/url]. This didn't work for me here. Wondering if you could give me some help.
As well, I left the name of who did the breaking news story for fair use, so I made sure she got credit. Do you prefer to shorten the quote, or how should I have approached that?
Thanks!
