I wanted to get the word out that I am going to take my second trip overseas to cover Oregon troops at war. This will happen in March and it will be much like the two months I spent in Afghanistan over the winter of 2006/07. During that time I was able to FTP 30 reports out of the theater in 60 days, meeting and passing our hopes and expectations.
On that trip Salem-News.com partnered with KPTV FOX-12 in Portland and by all accounts the coverage went well including two half hour documentaries that were produced and aired on Channel-12. Unfortunately the station says they do not have funds to work with and the station will not be airing reports from Iraq, this opens the prospect up to other stations as FOX-12 wanted it exclusive last year.
This time I am looking at March for a jump off date and I want to hear from any Oregon stations that are interested in working with us. My purpose is to specifically cover the war through the eyes of the Oregon Guard soldiers there and they need good coverage.

Let us know what has happened to Michael Ware. He has dropped off the CNN map. I'm sure Herr Bush is pleased...Ware could really mess up the propaganda from pentagon.
