New reality show based in Oregon debuts tonight

I don't know if anyone knew this or not, but there is a new show called Axe Men, based in Astoria debuting 10:00 tonight on History Channel. My cousin knows some of the people and says it is good.

Does anyone know what this "Oprah's Big Give: Portland Pays it Forward" thing is that's being promoted on KATU? I believe it says it starts March 17, which would be a Monday. Given that the Big Give is a Sunday show, I'm guessing it's just some "Tune in tomorrow morning for AM Northwest" tie-in or something, but I don't know.

I watched Ax Men last night

I watched Ax Men last night and was pretty impressed. The show seems in line with Deadliest Catch, focusing on hard working men doing dangerous jobs. Some of the drama may be manufactured, but I was on the edge of my seat during the helicopter sequence when the long fell line it was towing to the top of the mountain got caught up in trees.
