Is anyone other than the Oregonian following the story of what the Sherwood School District is doing to drama teacher Jennie Brown?
The O's story is here: http://www.oregonlive.com/education/oregonian/index.ssf?/base/news/12052...
There is probably more to this than we're seeing, but on the surface, it has the trappings of some of the attempts to muzzle editors of high school and university newspapers.

As a reporter for three decades, I've seen this kind of good-old-boy mentality. The school board thinks it's above the community and tries to strong-arm a teacher, a community member or someone else. I remember my first night on a new job and having a small-town school board tell me what I was going to report and what I wasn't. They went so far as to keep me out an executive session I was entitled to attend. Where is the legal counsel for these districts???
