I hear through the grapevine that Colby Reade is leaving KXL. Don't know where to.

Colby is indeed leaving KXL. He is going to another station to do sales.

Reade is the best street reporter in the City.

If he is really leaving KXL then my money is on TV.

I have enjoyed listening to him.... I hope we will see him again

Colby Reade neglected a very important story down at City Hall. A lot of us concerned citizens felt betrayed by Reade. He was basically our only hope but his "skin" proved to be too thin.

i always found reade's delivery to be a little forced. his facts were strong, clearly organized and obviously well-researched, but the delivery never seemed conversational enough to me. it struck me that he was relying too much on written notes and thus remained unable to deliver the news in a casual yet informative way. anyone can read a paragraph or two off a sheet; that's not why i tune to kxl. perhaps reade is more suited to voiceover work, which is good because that's what i hear he's going to be doing at disney.
