KOPB FM 91.5 gone dark?

Funny how OPB runs these garbled tapes. It's five o'clock on Thursday afternoon, and I guess somehow OPB downloaded their NPR show All Things Considered with Robert Segal in a botched up form. But they run it anyway! It is totally unitelligable... but they run it anyway for 15 minutes.

Uhoh! Now a Christian religious broadcast has burst onto their frequency... "can these bones live again?" It must mean that OPB has stopped broadcasting... off the air!

On my other radio Im picking up a station in Aspen, Colorado, on 91.5.

Summer solstice breakdown?

When you aspire to be the number one station in a market, and sometimes reach that goal, there's no excuse for that. There's more to management than fundraising.

...sometimes unpredictable things happen. We were working on a software upgrade for the system that synchronizes our digital and analog signals, and what should have been a routine thing created some serious problems with the broadcast signal. It was frustrating not even to be able to tell listeners what was happening, so we just opted to fix it as quickly as possible in order to get back to normal. A lesson learned, though...
