McOmie to KGW?

iFish.net is reporting that Grant McOmie has been picked up by KGW. News release due Friday, apparently. Anyone at the Ocho who can confirm? Though on matters McOmie, iFish is usually correct.

If you're just duplicating national content, you might as well turn out the lights on your operation and distribute the proceeds of your assets to your shareholders.

It's good to see at least one station gets it, and doesn't just use the word local in their news teasers only to show nothing but police chases in L.A. and liquor store holdups in Charleston, South Carolina.

I got an e-mail from Grant a couple of days ago announcing that he had signed on with KGW to do outdoor/environmental news.

His "talking funny" stuff was why I couldn't stand listening to him. Maybe he could get a voice coach? ;-)

No wonder that KGW is the best, their nice move to pick up Grant shows another reason why.
