Good evening and welcome to an Imaginary Town News Weather Break. I'm Josie.

Taking a look at our ImagiWeather5000 (if you look closely above you'll see an Oregon Scientific thermometer/forecaster at the anchor desk), here's our weather outlook for tomorrow:

(Like our new graphics package? The old one dried up when we left the cap off.)

Time to check in with our wacky feature reporter, Louisa. LouLou, what kooky yet potentially lucrative advertiser, er, story, are you checking out tonight?

Well, Jo, nothing, really. All of our sponsors are Imaginary. Not really much one can show in a photograph.

Well, thanks anyway, Louisa!

For Louisa and everyone here at Imaginary Town News, I'm Josie. Good night, and have a pleasant tomorrow!

At the tram rescue rehearsal this afternoon. Scott Moore with the play-by-play:

As soon as Adams was done chatting with the media, his eyes darted around the block and he yelled, “Where’s Phil Stanford?

Though how it can be 95% humidity and sunny is anyone's guess.

Try Virginia in August! I have!

Take a shower and get sweated up within five minutes, and then take a shower and get sweated up within five minutes, and oh another shower... it's awful!

I'm just tired of the pix - will they ever shuffle off from the first page?

Hoping!

Never tell a mother you're tired of her children's pictures. ;)

The pictures will move down and off the page as I get new stuff to post. It's slow right now.

In the meantime I suggest you set your entry to the "latest" page. That way you won't have to look at them.

Great photos, the kids obviously have inherited Mom's media savvy.

Those two would make the mundane weather reporting a fun thing. I would bet they put their palms up to see if it's raining. LOL Beats forecasters saying what a nice day it is and it is raining.Hey, I've seen that more than once.

Oh my God, Keeley Chalmers is forcasting 67 degree's for a high in the Dalles and points east for the next few days. You have got to be kidding. Is she qualified as a forcaster???? Maybe she should rethink this forcast.

Submitted by Myhousemf on Sun, 12/10/2006 - 12:22am.

You could tell she was nervous in her voice and she was breathing heavy. But she did ok. KGW needed her to fill in (or maybe she has the job?) since Bruss isn't there and apparently, they don't have a replacemnt yet.

I understand but you would think she would double check everything prior to air, just so you don't look clueless.......

I don't know about KGW, but I know KATU weather temps get updated automaticly every so often. That is why you sometimes see numbers change on the air.

KGW in the past has had some periods where they will use anybody to do weather, in the past they have also had former reporter Krista Vasquez, NWCN weather people, and Joe Sotille even has filled in on occasion.

However, Keeley Chalmers has also filled in for weather before, and she almost always is nervous doing the weather.

What about Ron Pederson? Is he on any KGW newscast regularly or does he do fill-in only?

her AMS degree. My guess, she really wants to do that. Why else would she devote the time.

KGW must have REALLY been in a hurry.....

Not the usual from them, graphics wise. oh well....

Even *I* can do a better job with Microsoft Paint. Anyways, that just continues the downward trend of their site graphics-wise; it has been looking rather amateurish as of late. Very very sloppy.

Alot better.....

KPTV is broadcasting promos for Good Day Oregon saying thanks for making us the number morning show again, BUT in fine print, it says "Not Portland November 2006 5-9AM".

Submitted by Anonymous Source (not verified) on Tue, 12/12/2006 - 8:40am.

Good Day Oregon was number one in November for the full four hours, 5am-9am. They didn't win every individual hour, though.

Submitted by Anonymous Source (not verified) on Tue, 12/12/2006 - 2:51pm.

KPTV won the hours when they were the ONLY local news on the air. When they competed with others.. they finished a strong second. That won't stop the promo dept though.

Submitted by Anonymous Source (not verified) on Thu, 12/14/2006 - 9:41am.

But the fact remains, more people watch Good Day Oregon in the morning hours from 5-9am than anything else on television - Today Show, Good Morning America, CNN, Clifford the Big Red Dog, etc.

And since the book ended, KPTV has been winning head to head at 5am and 6am, too. November is never good for GDO because of the network programming.
