Over at PDX Radio, they're reporting that KPAM PD Steve Nicholl is out. He's already off the website. Speculation has ensued that he was reassigned to Ross Island.

If you are a media person out there and you are new to blogging, take note of what recently happened to KPAM's Victoria Taft. This is what I'm assuming happened: She linked to a photo out there on the Internet without permission, or without hosting it herself, the person whose bandwidth she was using without permission got ticked off, and he swapped out the innocent picture she was expecting for explicit porn.

In any event, there is still not-safe-for-work porn on Taft's blog as of 5:30 this morning, noted on several local blogs yesterday afternoon. I expected by the time I got around to posting this the pic would have been deleted, but no. Victoria, or whoever maintains her blog, wake up! Take it down! Screen shots are being taken linking your name to explicit porn!

Moral of the story: Don't link other people's images. You may lose control of what the image is and embarrass yourself--especially if you're a conservative talk show host.

Also via PDXRadio, Beavers football is moving to KPAM for 2007. KEX apparently lost a bidding war.

One of the few local drive-time call-in hosts has been moved...Ahhh! There, you are, Tom! 11pm to 3am. Now they get to move that paradigm of conservative thought, Victoria Taft to your drivetime slot. Oh, and some guy outta Sag Harbor, New York Jay Severin (who lied about getting a Pulitzer) has been put in Victoria's old spot. After all, who knows local stuff like a fella from NY state?

KDUN in Reedsport is dark (one reason why, possibly), but WKS Broadcasting bought it off Pamplin Communications for $220K. Pamplin owns the Portland Tribune and KPAM.

Over at the PDX Radio board they're saying it's Steve Nicholl from WJNO West Palm Beach Florida. "They" being Bob Harlow. If memory serves, WJNO is Randi Rhodes' pre-Air America flagship.

Chris Lehman sentenced to six years for sexual abuse:

Washington County deputies arrested Lehman last November after one of his young relatives, a boy under 14 years of age, told a family friend that Lehman abused him.

Lehman's wife, Stephanie, was sentenced in September to two days in jail for giving marijuana to the same underaged relative.

The abuse happened over a period of more than four years.
